V Sparks
The Handcuffs
Maybenauts

With the blood and glitter of 70's Glam Rock, V SPARKS burst through Chicago's music scene with a sound and attitude that will surely steal your attention. Fronted by the extravagance of a lead singer who goes by the name of V, V Sparks are destroying the worlds perception and fear of Rock N' Roll. Whereas some artists today may offer up something unique trying to thrive on that alone, V Sparks also have the songs and hooks to back them up!

THE HANDCUFFS embody the spirit of rock music's uninhibited, sexy and overbearing appeal. A perfect blend of style and energy. They do not sound like anyone else, but at the same time they seem very familiar. They are influenced by everything good that sells and anything good that doesn't. Rock music is loud (not just in volume, but in its nature), pompous and fun - and The Handcuffs embrace every reckless minute of it.

The MAYBENAUTS make glam-pop girl rock... with a space panda! Their music is glitzy and dynamic, rich with three-part harmonies, danceable grooves, and air-guitar-inspiring rock riffs. The band's powerhouse rhythm section (featuring Ellie Maybe on bass and Emily Agustin on drums) provides the backbone for the anthemic and intricate guitar work of the upside-down-and-all-over-the-place Space Panda, also known by his earth name: Vee Sonnets. Fronting the group is the adorable and vivacious singer Leilani Frey, whose voice moves seamlessly between angelically tender to balls-out belting.

TRISTEN is the 87th most popular baby name in the United States, and has been consistently among the top 1,000 names given to baby boys since 1971. From the Old French Tristran, which is from the Gaelic Drystan, a name derived from drest (tumult, riot). The name was borne in medieval legend by a knight who was sent to Israel by King Mark of Cornwall to bring Isolde back to be the king's bride. On the return trip, Tristan and Isolde accidentally drank a love potion intended for the king and fell in love. Tristan left to fight for King Howel of Brittany and, seriously wounded in battle, sent for Isolde. She arrived too late and died from grief next to Tristan's deathbed. The tale was the subject of many popular tragedies during the Middle Ages.

Tributosaurus becomes...
The Rolling Stones featuring
Bobby Keys

In August 2002 they became The Who. September was Sly & the Family Stone, followed by CSNY and then The Police. TRIBUTOSAURUS is not just a band…it is a musical event, a happening. Tributosaurus is the Jurassic beast of multiple musical faces, and every month, the beast morphs into a different rock group. Every set is tweaked with the lineup essential to accurately re-create the recorded material of an amazing array of artists. This mandate draws the finest musicians from Chicagoland and beyond to join the core group to sing and play songs they’ve wanted to cover all their lives. For Paul McCartney, we had members of the CSO and 30 people on stage, for Ray Charles we had a full big band, for Paul Simon we had an ensemble of native South American flutes -- whatever it takes. If there's a song that requires 2 keyboard players, 3 guitarists, a mandolin and a 6 piece horn section -- you can bet we'll have 'em.
The Tributosaurus Core is comprised of 4 of the top musicians in Chicagoland. These players consider themselves the Civil War re-creationists of rock and roll, as they skillfully learn a brand new set of material every month, note for note.
If you're in Chicago on the first Wednesday of the month, look us up - you won't regret it!

Rolling Stones saxophonist, BOBBY KEYS, joins Tributosaurus for these end of the year concerts!
